At its September 27th meeting, the RSCVA Board of Directors received a recap on Interbike MarketWeek – the 66th-largest trade show in North America – which took place in multiple locations throughout the destination from September 14th through the 20th. The RSCVA marketing department gave an overview of their attendance-building efforts to make Interbike’s first year in Reno Tahoe a success, which required continuous collaboration with the Interbike marketing team. In addition, we provided customized in-house videos, photography and video assets in support of the event, which we estimate drew more than 13,000 exhibitors and attendees. Throughout the convention, our team was actively engaged in all platforms of social media and had a consistent presence at the trade show, providing visitors with information and accommodating requests. All attendees were provided with destination-specific information through YELP on dining, nightlife and bicycle shops, as well as a bike-friendly route map. The Board was also presented with this video, highlighting the experiences of Interbike executives and attendees during the week.

The entire Reno Tahoe tourism community demonstrated its appreciation of Interbike, whose attendees were warmly welcomed with street banners, messaging at the airport and also at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. The RSCVA is looking forward to their return these next four years, and we are grateful for your efforts in making these very important guests feel welcome.

Other news from our most recent Board meeting can be found below. Thank you for your continued support of the RSCVA.
