RENO, Nev. (February 13, 2024) – USA Taekwondo announced today that more than 2,000 competitors from over 70 countries will take part in the 2024 U.S. Open Championships this Friday through Sunday, February 16-18 at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.

“This U.S. Open Championship draws elite domestic and international athletes, including Olympians and Olympic hopefuls for the Paris 2024 games,” said Christine Strong Simmons, USA Taekwondo managing director of events, member services & state association governance liaison. “Athletes are travelling worldwide to compete at this prestigious event.”

Competition begins Friday with Poomsae, where competitors will demonstrate a sequence of refined techniques linked together to form a specific pattern of defending and attacking movements.
