USA Roller Sports National Championships expected to welcome 2,000+ attendees and generate 12,000 room nights this summer

RENO, Nev. (July 2, 2025) — Reno Tahoe is ready to roll this summer as it welcomes the 2025 USA Roller Sports National Championships, an elite multi-discipline event, to the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. More than 2,000 athletes, coaches, and spectators are expected to attend, generating over 12,000 room nights and an estimated economic impact of $6.8 million to the region.

“On behalf of the entire destination, we are pleased to welcome USA Roller Sports to Reno Tahoe,” said Reno Tahoe President and CEO Mike Larragueta. “This is a great opportunity for our local community to experience competitive excellence at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.”

Running from July 2–28, this premier event will feature top athletes from across the country—and a handful of international contenders—competing for national titles and the chance to represent Team USA on the world stage. The Reno-Sparks Convention Center will be transformed into a high-energy arena showcasing a full spectrum of roller sports disciplines.

Event Schedule:

  • Speed Skating – July 2–10
  • Rink Hockey – July 5–10
  • Artistic Skating – July 11–25
  • Roller Derby – July 26–28

USA Roller Sports will announce Team USA for Speed Skating during the opening ceremonies on Saturday, June 5 at 3 p.m., where they will represent in the 2025 World Skate Speed Skating World Championships in China later this year. As part of fundraising efforts, Team USA athletes invite the public to attend their fun skate event at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center, July 4 from 5-7 p.m. Admission is $5, and personal skates are required.

Spectators are welcome to attend and cheer on athletes as they compete in high-speed, high-skill events. Daily admission is $15, with free admission granted to kids ages 7 and under, military members, veterans, and skating rink owners. Parking is $10 at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.
