RENO, Nev. (August 21, 2025) – Visit Reno Tahoe’s new live music program at Reno-Tahoe International Airport continues tomorrow, Aug. 22 from 9:00 a.m. to Noon, as the String Me Along Duo welcomes Burning Man attendees. Following a June debut, this live music program has already been met with an enthusiastic response from travelers. Designed to welcome visitors arriving for Northern Nevada’s iconic special events as well as major group and sporting gatherings, the performances bring a sense of energy and excitement from the moment guests arrive. By working with the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority, Visit Reno Tahoe is enhancing the traveler experience and setting the tone for their stay.
“Partnering with the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority allows us to showcase the spirit of this region from the very first step off the plane,” said Visit Reno Tahoe President and CEO Mike Larragueta. “The positive feedback so far proves that live music is a simple yet powerful way to elevate the visitor experience and highlight the warmth, creativity, and energy that define Reno Tahoe.”
“Since the program launched in June, we’ve seen firsthand how live music transforms the airport experience,” said Daren Griffin, President and CEO of the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority. “Travelers are smiling, pausing to listen, and engaging with the performers — it’s creating a sense of place that extends beyond the terminal. We’re proud to partner with Visit Reno Tahoe on an initiative that’s already making a meaningful impact.”
The program debuted with a performance by Northern Nevada country musician Jakota Wass, who set the stage for Reno Rodeo travelers. Following tomorrow’s performance, the series will continue with Reckless Envy Quartet on Aug. 29, greeting visitors arriving for the Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook-off.
Visit Reno Tahoe is also scheduling entertainment to welcome attendees of large meetings, conventions, trade shows and sporting events booked by the Visit Reno Tahoe sales team. Nearly 70,000 guests, representing approximately 110,000 room nights, will be in attendance during the events listed below. Most of those attendees are expected to travel by air.
