RENO, Nev. (October 14, 2025) – The International Bowling Federation (IBF), in partnership with the Pan-American Bowling Confederation, will host the 2025 IBF World Seniors Championships at the National Bowling Stadium (NBS) from October 13–22, 2025.

“The IBF World Seniors Championships will unite athletes from around the globe on the lanes of the National Bowling Stadium,” said Visit Reno Tahoe President and CEO Mike Larragueta. “This event not only demonstrates the international draw of Reno Tahoe but also celebrates the camaraderie, skill, and spirit of competition that make bowling a truly global sport.”

This international championship is expected to welcome more than 350 athletes from 37 countries to Reno Tahoe. Competitors will bowl in two age divisions—Seniors 50+ and Grand Seniors 65+—over the course of six full days of tournament bowling.

“The International Bowling Federation is excited to be hosting the 2025 IBF World Seniors Championships at the iconic National Bowling Stadium in Reno, Nevada, USA,” said IBF CEO Mike Seymour. “This biannual event will bring together more than 400 athletes, officials and supporters from 37 countries, with men’s and women’s competitions. The elite competition features the skill and sportsmanship of senior bowlers from around the world. We can’t wait to meet the athletes, supporters, and all the fans at this exciting event.”

Media and spectators are invited to attend the opening ceremonies of the IBF World Seniors Championships on Thursday, October 16 at 6:00 p.m. inside the National Bowling Stadium in downtown Reno. Local dignitaries, including City of Reno Vice Mayor Kathleen Taylor will be in attendance to welcome these international competitors to Reno Tahoe and the National Bowling Stadium.

Competition begins Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., continuing Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.; Monday, 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The National Bowling Stadium, known as the “Taj Mahal of Tenpins,” offers a world-class stage for bowlers of all levels. Hosting the IBF World Seniors Championships is a testament to its reputation as one of the sport’s premier venues and further reinforces Reno Tahoe’s standing on the international sports tourism map.
