Visit Reno Tahoe’s Creator Camp taps into the growing demand for connection, creativity, and experience-driven travel

RENO, Nev. (April 24, 2026) – Adult summer camps are having a moment, and it’s evolving. No longer just nostalgic getaways, today’s camps are blending travel, creativity, education, and community.

Tapping into this growing trend, Visit Reno Tahoe is hosting the second annual Reno Tahoe Creator Camp, a three-day immersive experience led by the world’s top travel creators, bringing together modern adventurers, weekend warriors, and aspiring creators through Reno Tahoe’s unique mix of mountains, desert, and vibrant arts culture. Taking place June 8-11, 2026, the program pairs participants with influential travel creators including @thebucketlistfamily, Jess Dales (@jess.wandering) and Quin Schrock (@everchanginghorizon), Jacob Riglin (@jacob) and Morgan Oliver-Allen (@moliverallen), Kristin Addis (@bemytravelmuse), and Giselle Langley and Stephen Jiroch (@theloverspassport). Attendees will stay on the crystal-clear shores of North Lake Tahoe at Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino.

Programs like Creator Camp signal a broader shift in travel, from passive consumption to active participation, where destinations become classrooms, studios, and communities all at once. According to American Express Travel’s 2026 Global Travel Trends Report, nearly 80% of travelers seek out local, destination-specific experiences, and say the skills they gain on a trip stay with them longer than any material souvenir.

“Travel is shifting, people don’t just want to see a place, they want to learn something, create something, and connect with others,” said Mike Larragueta, President and CEO of Visit Reno Tahoe. “Reno Tahoe Creator Camp taps into that. It’s about bringing people together, giving them access to incredible experiences, and allowing them to tell those stories in their own way.”

Designed around small group experiences, Reno Tahoe Creator Camp gives participants the chance to adventure alongside their favorite creators, learning firsthand how they explore, create, and connect with a destination. Attendees choose from one of five summer-camp-inspired itineraries, each with its own mix of outdoor adventure, urban exploration, and creative inspiration.

Programming spans climbing, wake surfing, paddleboarding, and boat tours on Lake Tahoe, along with hikes and sunrise hot air balloon rides over the Sierra Nevada, as well as whitewater rafting, horseback riding, ATV off-roading, and enjoying Reno’s vibrant city energy. Camp-wide moments include a bowling takeover at the National Bowling Stadium, a summer camp-themed game night, and a Burning Man-inspired block party celebrating Reno as the gateway to the iconic arts festival.

Following the week of adventure and creativity, participants will come together for a talent show for a chance to win big prizes and showcase the photos, videos and stories they created throughout the weekend, celebrating both creativity and adventure.

Registration is $3,095 for a single ticket or $5,395 for two tickets and includes the hotel, meals, activities, and transportation in Reno Tahoe.
