Visit Reno Tahoe will donate net proceeds from new Ashanti & Trey Songz ticket purchases and provide 1,500 complimentary tickets to first responders
RENO, Nev. (Aug. 28, 2026) – As Northern Nevada begins the road to recovery from the recent fires, Visit Reno Tahoe is turning an upcoming night of entertainment into an opportunity for the community to come together and support neighbors impacted by the wildfires.
Beginning Friday, Aug. 28, 100% of net proceeds from new tickets purchased for the Ashanti and Trey Songz concert at the Reno Events Center will be donated to the American Red Cross of Northern Nevada to support those impacted by the recent fires in Northern Nevada.
Visit Reno Tahoe will also offer 1,500 complimentary Ashanti & Trey Songz or Lynyrd Skynyrd concert tickets to firefighters and first responders who have worked to protect Northern Nevada communities during the fires. First responders can redeem free tickets by signing up at www.1sttix.org.
As the community moves from emergency response toward recovery, Visit Reno Tahoe is now leveraging another of its venues, the Reno Events Center, to help generate financial support for those impacted while recognizing the first responders who have worked tirelessly throughout the fires.
“Our venues are places where people come together, and right now there is no better reason to come together than to support our neighbors,” said Mike Larragueta, President and CEO of Visit Reno Tahoe. “Northern Nevada has always been a community that shows up for one another. We saw that throughout the response to these fires, and we want this concert to be another opportunity to turn that spirit into meaningful support for the people who need it.”
Funds donated to the American Red Cross of Northern Nevada will help support disaster relief and recovery efforts for the communities in our region impacted by the recent wildfires. Red Cross disaster assistance includes health and emotional support, recovery planning, and financial assistance to help individuals and families address disaster-related needs. The Red Cross also works with community partners to support longer-term recovery as our communities begin to rebuild.
The concert initiative builds on Visit Reno Tahoe’s ongoing response to the wildfires. When the American Red Cross of Northern Nevada requested assistance with evacuation needs, Visit Reno Tahoe immediately made space available at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center and remained prepared to expand that space as requested by emergency officials.

Those interested can support Northern Nevada wildfire recovery by purchasing tickets to Ashanti & Trey Songz beginning Aug. 28 through the day of the show. 100% net ticket proceeds will be donated by Visit Reno Tahoe to the American Red Cross of Northern Nevada.
