John Farahi

Board Member

John Farahi is Co-Chairman of the Board and CEO of Monarch Casino & Resort, Inc. (Nasdaq: MCRI), the parent company of Reno’s Atlantis Casino Resort Spa and Monarch Casino Resort Spa in Black Hawk, Colorado. An accomplished commercial operator and partner in Farahi Investment Company, he has had a significant, long-lasting impact on the gaming and hospitality industry.

Mr. Farahi’s extensive civic leadership includes appointments to the Nevada Commission on Tourism and the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Council. He has served multiple terms on the boards of the Reno-Tahoe International Airport Authority and the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority. His honors include the Reno Gazette-Journal’s Entrepreneur of the Year, Nevada Business Journal’s Most Respected CEO, and the prestigious Ellis Island Medal of Honor. He holds a degree from California State University, Hayward, and an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Nevada, Reno.
