RENO, Nev. (November 8, 2021) – The Reno-Sparks Convention Center (RSCC) is being recognized as a 2021 recipient in the 5th Annual Stella Awards by Northstar Meetings Group, the nation’s leading publisher of meetings and events publications. The RSCC won a bronze medal in the Best Convention Center (Far West) category.

As one of the meetings industry’s highest honors, the Stella Awards recognizes hotels, convention centers, conference centers, airlines, cruise lines, DMOs/CVBs and DMCs that consistently deliver quality service and innovation to meetings and event professionals. This year, meeting planners and professionals cast more than 6,000 votes for the 603 destinations, hotels, and service providers nominated from around the world.

“As an expanded and renovated facility with over 600,000 sq. ft. of adaptable meeting space, the Reno-Sparks Convention Center is an ideal location for a wide variety of meetings and events,” said Visit Reno Tahoe President and CEO Charles Harris. “We are proud to provide first-rate quality, proximity to more than 15,000 first class-hotel rooms, and access to the Reno-Tahoe International Airport, as well as the array of amenities provided by Reno Tahoe’s unique blend of entertainment and outdoor adventure.”

The RSCC has successfully welcomed traditional and prestigious meetings, conventions, trade shows and sports events throughout the years. The convention center recently welcomed Airports Council International for its 2021 Annual Conference & Exhibition, and it has been confirmed that the International Institute of Municipal Clerks will hold their 2026 IIMC Annual Conference at the convention center in May 2026.
