RENO, Nev. (February 3, 2022) – Visit Reno Tahoe marketing programs recently earned platinum and gold honors in the 2022 AVA Digital Awards, an international competition that recognizes excellence in digital communication.
Reno Tahoe’s “Recharge in Reno Tahoe” marketing campaign received a Platinum Award in the Digital Marketing Campaign category. Launched last year, “Recharge in Reno Tahoe” showcases the modern renewal of Northern Nevada’s entertainment and outdoor offerings, while paying tribute to the destination’s traditional persona and recent efforts toward a broad recovery for travel and tourism. The “Our Ambition Never Waivers, The New Normal in Reno Tahoe” video won a Platinum Award in the TV Commercial category. In efforts to remain on the minds of travelers when the COVID-19 pandemic continued into the summer, this TV ad was produced for key drive markets with a message of optimism while looking ahead to future travel plans.
Receiving a Gold Award in the Games, Contests category, the “Perseid Meteor Shower Getaway Contest” invited ambitious travelers to venture into Massacre Rim, a certified Dark Sky Sanctuary by International Dark-Sky Association, to catch the peak of the Perseid Meteor Shower, complete with a prize package. Receiving a Gold Award in the YouTube Marketing Video category, the “Reignite the Night in Reno Tahoe” neon social video incorporates saturated colors, neon overlays and light flare effects that highlight the vibrancy of the destination.

AVA Digital Awards recognizes excellence by creative professionals responsible for the planning, concept, direction, design and production of digital communication. The awards competition selected winners from over 220 categories under Digital Marketing, Web/Television/Video/Audio Communication, and Electronic/Social/Interactive Media.
