RENO, Nev. (February 15, 2022) – In partnership with Visit Reno Tahoe, the Go West Summit continues today at Grand Sierra Resort and Casino. Last held in Reno Tahoe in 2017, Go West Summit brings hundreds of international tour operators and buyers from 19 countries to meet with more than 100 tour operators from 17 western states. Bookings negotiated during 4,700 individual appointments this week are expected to bring more than 1.5 million international visitors to the U.S. over the next 18 months.

“Go West is a premier travel show and presents tremendous opportunity for our destination,” said Visit Reno Tahoe President and CEO Charles Harris. “Through a series of meetings, and especially with upcoming adventure day activities later this week, we’re working to maximize Reno Tahoe’s exposure to international tour operators who are enthusiastic about booking group travel to our destination and the rest of the United States.”

International group travel buyers, representing hundreds-of-millions of dollars in potential sales revenues, have registered for guided tours: skiing the Sierra Nevada, experiencing the old west flavor of Virginia City, area shopping, and the beauty of Lake Tahoe.
