RENO, Nev. (March 15, 2024) – Powerlifting America is holding the 2024 Classic (Raw) Open Nationals, through March 16 at The Reno Ballroom in downtown Reno.
“It is a privilege to welcome Powerlifting America, in partnership with American Iron Gym, to host this annual championship event in Northern Nevada,” said Reno Tahoe President and CEO Mike Larragueta. “Reno Tahoe is a dynamic destination with a growing sports market, and we are grateful to Tamara Lopes and American Iron Gym for bringing this competition home to Northern Nevada.”
Nearly 140 powerlifters from 29 states will compete for the opportunity to compete in the 2024 World Classic Open Powerlifting Championships in Vilnius, Lithuania and the 21st Annual North American Powerlifting Federation (NAPF) North American Powerlifting Championships in Scottsdale, Ariz. Powerlifting America is the recognized United States member federation affiliate to the International Powerlifting Federation (IPF).
